Training Day

I titled this "Training Day" and really wonder who was training who.  I taught yesterday at the School of preaching in Jag Hill---remote Hyderabad.  Teaching through a translator is not as easy as it it appears.  Your thought processes have to slow down a bit.  Anyway it was a great day for me.  The native men who are preaching the Gospel here in India are so dedicated it shames we American preachers. I got to have lunch with them and visit with many personally through my translator.  The men who accompany me TRANSLATE not INTERPRET...as they are trained to do.  That is probably harder for them to do but when speaking of scripture----no one wants misunderstanding. I am posting a picture of one class of these dedicated men.  They want me to come back when we return to Hyderabad and teach a full day on a subject I had taught one lesson on yesterday.  I don't know what the schedule will allow. They are hungry to learn and it is hard for me to not just continue teaching but I have to discipline myself to quit when I am tired........ today I am exhausted, as is Elaine and we are going to take a day of less activity before we fly to Kakinada. We have hardly slowed down since we landed and the Jet Lag hit us both last night----we slept till about 9:30 this morning. We know we must rest but our time is limited and we will rest when we get home---while we are here we will work! We fly to Kakinada in the morning (Saturday) and begin the lectures on Sunday.  They do not expect the attacks in Mumbai to have any effect on the lectures except all flights get a little more scrutiny.  We have appreciated all your e-mails, they are real encouragement to us.
