On our Way again

Elaine and I have just returned from a gospel meeting in Las, Vegas, NV. We enjoyed a great time with the Bright Angel church in Las Vegas. I had to laugh---some of my friends I play golf with said: "You are going to Las Vegas to PREACH?!!" Yes and the Bright Angel church there is strong and we had a wonderful meeting. We are to schedule another time with them in the spring of 2011.

We leave for India October 14 to attend and speak at the Lectureship. The theme this year is "You Can Be Sure." I am to speak several times daily and look forward to again participate in the preacher workshops. I will begin posting again at least weekly and then more often as we arrive in India. We are anxious to see the progress of the building of the orphans home there in Kakinada. Elaine and I have taken it on ourselves to raise the funds to finish this children's home. EVERY Member at our home congregation has contributed and we need your help to finish the job. We are contacting our friends confident that together we will complete this task. We have contacted numerous ones, friends, neighbors, our doctors--just everybody we can and we are asking for your help. If 500 of us just send $50--not much of a burden to most---we can complete the home for these children. (Yes, Elaine and I have sent ours!) There are just not 500 of us! Box 37, Asher, OK, OK 74826 The churches in Asher, St. Louis, Stratford, and Muskogee have already contributed sufficient funds to cover our personal expenses for the lectureship, so now we can raise the money for the home. The members of the Bright Angel church responded to this need very liberally which was such an inspiration to us since we did not go there to raise money--just to preach. I love that church for it's spirit and faithfulness to the Lord. I will be encouraged by their kindness and receptiveness for a long time! Keep us in your prayers!
